Keyboard shortcuts
Work faster with the keyboard
With the keyboard you can move and change tasks without the mouse. It is also an alternative to drag and drop.
First select a row: click it or move to it with Tab. The shortcuts then apply to the selected row. While you type in a field, for example when renaming, the keys do what they normally do in the field.
Move tasks
- Alt+Shift+Up / Down arrow – move the task one step up or down.
- Alt+Shift+Right arrow – move the task into the list above it.
- Alt+Shift+Left arrow – move the task out of its list, right after the list.
Go between rows
- Shift+Down / Up arrow – next or previous row.
- Shift+Right arrow – open a list, or go to the first row of an open list.
- Shift+Left arrow – close an open list, or go to the list the row is in.
Change the task
- F2 – rename.
- Enter or Alt+Shift+E – edit. There you set dates, list, context and tags.
- Alt+Shift+I – mark as important, or remove the mark.
- Alt+Shift+M – open the row's menu.
- Delete – move to trash.
Tip! On a Mac the Alt key is called Option. If the keyboard has no Delete key, use Cmd+Backspace. All shortcuts are also listed under Help in the app.
